The National Herald case began in 2012 when BJP's Subramanian Swamy accused Congress leaders of cheating and breach of trust in Young Indian Ltd's takeover of Associated Journals Ltd, which published Nehru-founded National Herald. The ED earlier probed financial transactions, shareholding patterns, and roles of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the case. Recently, a fresh FIR was filed against them.
