Dismissing a blind beggar's second wife's plea seeking ₹10,000 maintenance, Kerala HC said a man who has no capacity to maintain his wives cannot marry multiple times. It said as per Quran, "polygamy is only an exception", while ruling that a beggar cannot be ordered to pay maintenance. The woman's husband receives ₹25,000 income and lives with his first wife.
