Amazon confirmed that it'll be firing 14,000 employees across its teams and that it may lay off more staffers in 2026. It said it'll offer affected employees 90 days to find a new role within Amazon, with recruiting teams prioritising internal candidates. It'll offer severance pay, outplacement services and health insurance benefits to employees who fail to transition internally.
