BCCI Secretary Jay Shah on Saturday announced the introduction of match fee for IPL players. He stated IPL players will get ₹7.5 lakh/match. He added, "A cricketer playing all league matches in a season will get ₹1.05 crore in addition to his contracted amount." He further said that each franchise will allocate ₹12.6 crore as match fees for the season.
