WHO on Wednesday sought clarification from Indian authorities on whether Coldrif cough syrup linked to deaths in the country was exported. WHO said it would assess the need for the Global Medical Products Alert on Coldrif syrup once official confirmation was received. At least 20 kids have died in Madhya Pradesh due to consumption of the cough syrup.
