Mumbai SIT has arrested a city survey officer, Anil Dabhode, bringing the total number of arrests to five in a land scam probe. Dabhode is accused of assisting in the illegal manipulation of land records. A farmer, Vaibhav Thakur, discovered the scam in 2016 and found that official records had been altered to misclassify protected and as legally developable.
