After Israel and Iran-backed group Hezbollah reached a deal to begin a 60-day ceasefire in Lebanon, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that India hopes these developments will lead to peace and stability in the region. "We welcome ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. We've always called for de-escalation, restraint and return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy," MEA added.
