US President Joe Biden has issued preemptive pardons for several top officials who could be potential targets of incoming President Donald Trump. Those issued pardons include Anthony Fauci, who refused to back Trump's unfounded claims about COVID-19; and lawmakers and staffers from House committee that investigated January 6, 2021 riots. Earlier, Biden issued preemptive pardon of his son Hunter.
