Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said India would surpass US in terms of length of metro network in next two to three years. "We're very near to length of metro in USA. It's 1400 km in USA...we reached 1100 km," he said. He said in in 2004-05 metro ran in only five cities and now it's operating in 24 cities.
