PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched Subhadra Yojana on budget of ₹55,825 crore. Under this five-year scheme, women beneficiaries of 21 to 60 years age group will get ₹10,000 per year. Women from wealthy families, government officials and those getting ₹1,500 or more/month from other government schemes are ineligible for Subhadra Yojana. Notably, Subhadra Yojana was BJP's key election promise.
