Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Saturday issued an advisory that only Hindus should be allowed to attend Garba-Dandiya events to avoid "love jihad". Union MoS Ramdas Athawale criticised the organisation, saying, "Who is VHP to decide who can attend Garba? This advisory is not just to instruct organisers, but an open invitation to radical elements to incite violence and coercion."
