A head constable of the DRG, Sannu Karam, was killed in action in an ongoing encounter between Naxalites and security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region. Four Naxals were gunned down, and their bodies have been recovered. Items including an AK-47, an SLR, and other automatic weapons were seized. Notably, over 200 Maoists were killed by forces in Chhattisgarh in 2024.
