Supreme Court dismissed a plea by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) against protection provided to a (then) 16-year-old Muslim girl and her 30-year-old husband in 2022. "The girl is living with her husband! And has a child. What's your problem?" it said. "Are you saying it's criminal to love?" it asked as NCPCR claimed POCSO violation.
