Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of murdering her husband Raja during their honeymoon in Meghalaya (May 2025), has filed a bail petition. The police had earlier submitted a 790-page chargesheet naming Sonam, her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, and three hitmen as the accused. Sonam's counsel has now claimed "flaws" in the chargesheet. She has been in judicial custody since June.
