Chandan Verma, accused of murdering four members of a family in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi, was shot and injured in his leg in a police shootout. Police said Chandan snatched a police weapon and fired on the police team in an attempt to escape arrest. Chandan was admitted to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
