J&K CM Omar Abdullah reacted to mob breaking national emblem engraving on a plaque installed at Srinagar's Hazratbal Shrine after government renovated it. "I've never seen the emblem being used in any religious function...What was the compulsion to have the emblem on the stone at [the mosque]," said Abdullah. A National Conference leader said the emblem "goes against" Islamic belief.
