Authorities have launched a probe after the husbands of six newly elected women panchayat representatives (panches) allegedly took oath in place of their wives in Chhattisgarh's Kabirdham. The chief executive officer (CEO) of Pandariya janpad panchayat ordered a probe after a video of the swearing-in ceremony appeared on social media. However, an official denied that any Sarpanch Pati took oath.
