Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal condemned the judiciary for denying bail to Umar Khalid in the 2020 Delhi riots case. He criticised the courts for unnecessarily prolonging the hearings. Khalid, booked under the UAPA and other charges, has been in jail for almost five years without trial. "If and when the trial happens, all of them will be acquitted," Sibal said.
