The BMC approved a sharp fare hike for bus services operated by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking in Mumbai. Once implemented, the minimum fare of BEST buses will be doubled. For non-AC buses, fares will rise from ₹5 to ₹10, while AC bus fares will start at ₹12 instead of ₹6.
