An Afghan man suspected of shooting two National Guard soldiers near the White House had served as a soldier alongside the US military, NDTV reported. Rahmanullah Lakanwal worked with multiple US government entities including the CIA, before being evacuated to US as a refugee following the Taliban takeover, Fox News reported. The soldiers he shot are reportedly in critical condition.
