A man allegedly raped a 30-year-old woman and poured an acid-like substance on her in front of her children in Assam's Cachar district, police said. The two engaged in a verbal spat after the accused, who's the victim's neighbour, entered her house while her husband was away. When her husband returned, he found her with mouth, hands and feet tied.
