Railways Ministry has reported significant delays in several railway infrastructure projects across West Bengal, primarily due to challenges in land acquisition, an official statement said. "Despite a substantial increase in funding, with allocations rising three times from ₹4,380 crore during 2009-14 to ₹13,941 crore in 2024-25, the pace of project execution remains hindered, the ministry added.
