What stanzas did Congress drop from 'Vande Mataram' in 1937 & why?

Bankim Chandra Chatterjee's 'Vande Mataram' was a six-stanza hymn; only the first two were adopted as the national song. The latter stanzas paid homage to the divine feminine, with the last two mentioning Hindu goddesses Durga and Lakshmi. Jawaharlal Nehru-led Congress allegedly dropped these stanzas in 1937, as some members of the Muslim community didn't receive them well.
