The Air India plane that crashed in Ahmedabad was being piloted by 56-year-old Captain Sumeet Sabharwal and 32-year-old first officer Clive Kunder. Sabharwal had a total flying experience of 15,638 hours, including 8,596 hours of flying Boeing 787. Kunder's total flying experience was 3,403 hours, including 1,128 hours on a Boeing 787. Kunder was passionate about flying since school days.
