Indian-origin technology companies took a fifth of the H1B visas issued in April-September 2024, as per US immigration data. Of the 1.3 lakh visas issued, about 24,766 were issued to Indian-origin companies. Infosys was the biggest beneficiary with 8,140 visas, followed by TCS (5,274), and HCL America (2,953). Amazon remained the biggest H1B visa sponsor with 9,265 visas.
