Researchers have created a realistic model of the bone marrow, known as the "blood factory" of the body, entirely from human cells. For the research, which was published in the journal Cell Stem Cell, the team reprogrammed the human cells into stem cells. "[It can be used for] study of blood formation in both healthy and diseased," a researcher stated.
