The blue-ringed octopus, one of the most venomous sea creatures, flashes bright blue rings and turns yellow before attacking its prey. It carries a toxin that is 1,200 times stronger than cyanide, having the potential to paralyse and kill a human within twenty minutes. Survival depends solely on immediate artificial ventilation until the toxin wears off, as no antidote exists.
