Bombay High Court on Tuesday imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh on the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for initiating a money laundering investigation against real estate developer Rakesh Jain. "[ED] cannot take law into [its] own hands without application of mind and harass citizens," it said. "There is a serious gap in the application of mind by ED," the bench added.
