Over 15.7 lakh people have applied for the 4,543 sub-inspector and equivalent posts in the UP Police, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) said in a statement. The applicants were given time until September 11 to fill out the form for the posts. UPPRPB has said the exam date will be announced 4 weeks before the exam.
