Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while speaking at the second National Conference of Heads of Anti-Narcotics Task Force of states and union territories, said, "Unfortunately, the two regions from where drugs are supplied all over the world are near India." While Shah did not name the countries, Afghanistan and Myanmar are the largest producers and suppliers of opium.
