Actress Asha Negi, known for 'Pavitra Rishta', said a casting coordinator tried to brainwash her into believing that casting couch is necessary to get work in TV. Asha, who was 22 then, recalled, "He told me, 'All the big television actors have done it'." Asha said she told him, "If this is what happens, then I'm not interested."
