Morning aarti (prayer) was performed on Sunday at the temple that was found by Sambhal district officials during an anti-encroachment drive. Visuals showed devotees gathered at the temple, which is said to be around 400-500 years old and which had remained closed since 1978. A Lord Hanuman statue and a Shivling were earlier discovered at the temple.
