The government is asking leading Indian-origin AI experts at top global firms to return to India and help in the development of the country's AI ecosystem, Moneycontrol reported. "We are already in talks with prominent AI researchers, including Niki Parmar," an official said. "If we're to build an alternative to China's DeepSeek, we need their expertise," the official added.
