The Ministry of Consumer Affairs is examining complaints about additional charges on cash-on-delivery (CoD) orders by e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart. The probe will also look into delays or blocks in refunds when prepaid orders are cancelled. According to reports, Amazon charges ₹7-10, while Flipkart and FirstCry charge ₹10 extra for CoD, besides the regular platform fee.
