The government is trying to get the Chhath Puja enrolled on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, PM Narendra Modi informed in his 126th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat'. India currently has 15 elements on the list, including Gujarat's Garba (2023) and Kolkata's Durga Puja (2021). "Chhath is not celebrated in India alone...it is becoming a global festival," PM said.
