Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, who allegedly died by suicide, had reportedly raised allegations of caste-based discrimination, claiming delays in his promotion. As per Indian Express report, last year, he filed five complaints of "harassment and humiliation" against IAS officer within two months. He also objected to formation of committee of three ex-IAS officers to probe into his charges.
