India's merchandise exports fell to $34.71 billion (over ₹2.90 lakh crore) in August 2024, according to government data released on Tuesday. This marks a 9.3% drop from the $38.28-billion exports recorded in August 2023. India's imports however rose 3.3% year-over-year to $64.36 billion (over ₹5.21 lakh crore) in August 2023.
