Indian Navy and Royal Navy began biennial Exercise Konkan in the Western Indian Ocean on October 5, marking the first-ever participation of carrier strike groups from both nations. Led by INS Vikrant and HMS Prince of Wales, the 4-day exercise will enhance joint maritime and air capabilities, operational readiness and interoperability, while promoting a rules-based Indo-Pacific security framework.
