Meghalaya will reconstruct its state guest house in Tamil Nadu's Vellore to expand capacity, Minister Rakkam A Sangma told the State Assembly. The current facility has just 18 rooms, forcing many patients to be turned away, 112 out of 208 in 2024–25 alone. The new complex will provide better accommodation for patients and attendants seeking medical care.
