A 20-year-old labourer was killed and another suffered grievous injuries when a heavy iron pipe fell on them at a bridge construction site in Thane city. The incident occurred near Gaimukh Chowpatty on Ghodbunder Road on Saturday, and police have booked the site contractor for failing to provide safety equipment, charging him with negligence and causing grievous hurt to workers.
