The Jammu and Kashmir Police denied involvement of the People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed, in the powerful explosion at Nowgam police station. "The claim of PAFF or any other Pakistani terrorist group is patently false, baseless and mischievous," police said about the media reports. At least nine were killed in the explosion.
