The Luv Kush Ramlila Committee announced that Poonam Pandey won't be participating in Ramlila organised at Red Fort grounds in Old Delhi. Following backlash due to Poonam's "past controversies", the committee president stated, "The Sanatan community is against it...While we respect her feelings, keeping in mind people's emotions, we have decided that Poonam will not play the role of Mandodari."
