Why do F1 drivers get weighed after a race?
short by Pravel Jain / on 19 Oct 2025,Sunday
All F1 drivers are weighed immediately after a race. This is done partly for health reasons, as drivers typically lose around two to three kilograms during a race due to dehydration. It is also done to ensure that the driver (including equipment) and the car (without fuel) meet the current minimum weight requirements of 82 kilograms and 800 kilograms, respectively.
